Commitment, passion and enthusiasm are the driving forces behind Patrice Whiffen's career thus far. As cliche as it may sound, Patrice embodies the motto that if you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. Patrice lives and breathes marketing, promotions and event management and has an extensive amount of experience within the sporting and entertainment industries.
Working with the Canadian Pet Expo promoting responsible pet ownership will be second nature to Patrice.
Patrice is a multi-media marketing executive and event manager for various clients in the sports and entertainment industries. When she is not working, Patrice loves spending time with her family, friends and rescue dog, Nat. She enjoys attending concerts, and sporting events of all kinds. She also enjoys being a Board Member for Don Cherry's Pet Rescue Foundation, and on the Steering Committee for the MLSE Team Up Challenge in Support of Camp Trillium.
The Canadian Pet Expo works closely with many groups as they support those that are always willing to lend a hand in ensuring pets are always in forever homes. The Don Cherry Pet Rescue Foundation works on assisting those who are in the trenches, making Canada a better place for animals with such commitment and passion its contagious. For many years Jennifer was the host of the "Live Eye" for Torontos Breakfast Television. As a pet enthusiast her insight and knowledge of the passion that families share with their pets each day was evident when working on site with the many animals that would cross the studio paths. Whether shooting on site with puppies or watching crocodiles being managed her pet love always shined.Its with great pleasure we welcome Jennifer as the host of the CPE Best Dressed Pet Event Friday April 14th.
Anthony Rubio became the first pet fashion designer to showcase at New York's Fashion Week in February of 2012. As an advocate for pet adoption. Rubio created "Adopt Me Maybe?" adopt a shelter pet campaign. He started this campaign in an effort to promote shelter pet adoption verses buying a pet in a store. Anthony Rubio had no reservations about delving into the world of pet fashions earning for himself the title of Master Pet Couturier.
Anthony will be sharing samples of his pet fashions on Saturday as well will be on hand for the entire weekend with the CPE Best Dressed Show and enjoying the weekend.
Cindy inherited her love of animals from her Dad. Mice, hamsters, rabbits,budgie birds, guinea pigs, canaries, fish, and of course, dogs where part of her life. Her most famous pet, Blue the Bull Terrier, is seen on the opening of Coach's Corner chasing the garden hose in Boston, and on the Logo for this Foundation.
Knowing her calling was in the pet industry, she graduated from St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario to become an Animal Care Technician. Her veterinarian assistant experience ranged from clinics, to racetracks and zoos. She became a professional dog groomer and started Canada's first mobile dog grooming service, "Cherry's Groomobile".
Being involved in numerous charities throughout the years, she considers her biggest accomplishment (to date) was establishing Rose Cherry's Home for Kids. This facility in Milton, Ontario, administers palliative and respite care to chronically ill children. She is presently working for the Kidney Foundation of Canada as their Fund Development & Marketing Associate. This organization is close to her heart since donating a kidney to her brother in 1979.
When a rescue dog named Lucy came into her life, she knew her real destiny in life was to develop a Foundation to help unwanted pets that have been abused and discarded in our disposable society of today.
Marketing & Communications Manager at The Canadian Kennel Club, is the bridge between the general public, responsible CKC breeders and the CKC organization.
Andrew and his enthusiastic team will be on site throughout the weekend in an official ambassador role, engaging conversation and offering guidance on selecting a healthy, happy puppy and responsible dog ownership for those interested in the wonderful world of purebred dogs.
